Chicago

Stayed in Chicago this past week, at The Drake Hotel, between Oak Street Beach and the John Hancock Center in the very center of this bike map. Walked to the Navy Pier one day, then ran the bike path south to that point another day, and the same distance north near Lincoln Park yet another day. This appears to be a very bike-friendly and bike-savvy city, from the very little I've seen. Traffic is pretty horrendous, or can be, but the few bike paths I've seen are well-marked and designed, and the online map shows a pretty extensive network. I don't think I'd EVER want to live here, but being near this lakefront trail made a visit very pleasant.
